COCO MATS 15% OFF

For me the psychological difference is knowing no matter what goes down there, is isnt getting through the floormat! Which is a lot of stuff, as we have a 6 and 8 year old and they snack from home to school to piano to karate etc. All weather mats are pretty much the first thing I throw into any car, new or old.

I agree with you 100% there. I should have clarified that I wished I had Coco mats for the FRONT of my wagon. I'd keep the black rubber in the back seats where the kids are. I don't know how they do it. They couldn't make more of a mess if that was their primary goal.

When I inspect a car for purchase, one of the first things I do is pull the bottom back seat cushion out. The contents of the area under the back seat is like an open book on the care and use the car received over its lifetime.

Folks: Just want to compliment Coco Mats for great customer service. I neglected to switch out my new mats with rubber ones this winter. Of course the drivers side ended up with several salt stains that I couldn't remove. Ordered a new one and it was a free replacement; only had to pay shipping charges.
Totally unexpected and pleasantly surprised. Thumbs up to Coco Mats.

Regards,

Peter Weissman

I bought a set of Coco mats for my 16v, which is Pearl Black. The car came to me with a set of the original mats in pristine condition, so I wanted to put them away into storage.
Ordered a set of Black with blue accent mats from Coco. Shipped on time. Product has a substantial feel to it. Fit was good. After applying a discount, the cost was $240.

Does the code above from last Nov still work or did you use another code?

I ordered right around the new year. Just got to installing them. I don't see which code I used on the email invoice. I suspect it was a fresh discount code.

ok thanks....I may buy a set. My car coincidentally enough has fasteners for the mats that came with the car (the original owner ordered special wool mats w/leather trim to match the interior from MB/AMG, so the car has some kind of fastener arrangement for the floor mats....I need to check it out when I get it out of storage as I know Coco mats can be ordered with fasteners)

Folks: Cocomats.com is offering a 3-day deal for 15% off. This is about the best deal you will find from them.

I decided to try something (in my opinion) fresh&light, yet still classy. Ordered Stripes in Fern color for my beige interior

I ordered a set of 4 mats for my wife's Chevelle. Coco wasn't 100% certain about the pattern(s) they have for the car ( I think center console and 3 vs 2 pedal are the variables) so they are sending templates for me to verify. I won't lose my place in the production queue, as long as I turn the templates around in a reasonable amount of time. Good on Coco for caring about the fit and not pushing me to the back of the line.

They are good that way. They sent me materials to trace/create custom sized mats for the rear of my G-wagen as they weren't confident that the patterns they had on hand for the G of my era, would be correct for my specific variant.

The process with custom fitting some Coco mats continues to proceed rapidly. They sent the templates to me along with instructions and a sample of the checkerboard material. I'm glad they did.... the pattern was pretty bad. Rear seats were fine, but the fronts needed quite a bjt of tailoring.

I wrote a note on the patterns regarding the heel pad, and they emailed me to confirm what I was requesting. Even offered me a different option for the pad material.

Received a confirmation email today letting me know that they have the accepted the edits and have put my order back into my spot in the queue.

These guys are so old school in terms of proper customer service that it's nearly unheard of in today's business climate.

Cocomats just provided another 15% discount "sale". Please see e-mail flyer attached for appropriate code.

They only do this a couple of times a year, so if you missed the last sale, you should consider this one.

THIS IS A ONE-DAY ONLY (CYBER MONDAY) SALE -- SO MOVE QUICKLY.

Cheers,
Gerry

I finally ordered a set. For my 09 E63. Hope I like them. Fronts only. The stock W211 mats in brown are NLA. I have one replacement set on the shelf plus the original AMG mats in brown that have been NLA for years that are in nice shape.

The Nylon 6.6 mats they offer is a terrific option as well. It is super durable and stays looking new. Because it is so durable and my car is not a daily driver, I opted not to have the heel pad which makes it look more luxurious.

Anyone have an opinion on which is better....their coco mats or their sisal mats?

Greg, I’m looking at the Black / Orange Coco for the S55 to match the Chestnut wood. I have samples coming for that, and for Black / Teracotta. When they arrive I’ll text you my thoughts. If I had an 70’s car I’d be all over that Calypso! Gr8 look @Sam SL!

I pulled the trigger on the "slate" color sisal mats for the graphite/anthracite interior in my S55.

Those will look good. Did you consider Sage? Maybe a bit too light though. Keep in mind I have an extra set of originals with the AMG logo if you want them. I haven't seen them in a long time, so I bought a new set a year or so ago even though mine weren't terribly warn -- just the backing starting to separate.

Yea, I think the sage definitely would be too light. Floormats for the W220 are problematic because Mercedes doesn't make any of the black all-weather mats....just cannot find them anywhere...BUT you can order as many as you want for the W124 from MB Naperville. Then, the floormats that Mercedes dealers do sell for the W220 are actually a flimsy after-market product with a MB logo. And of course, the AMG mats are NLA. Thank you for the offer....you should hold onto them for when you decide to sell your S55. Cheers!

Well....this certainly was unexpected...

Well... service test... but still a bummer... my samples had impressed me... this certainly does not.

How do the fronts match up?

Looks like they used the wrong pattern. What vehicle is this, btw?

Trivia: The W124 V8 rear mats are shaped differently (and smaller) than non-V8 mats, due to the shape of the driveshaft tunnel. MB never sold V8-specific floor mats, so even the dealer mats didn't fit well at the front edge by the center tunnel. I've seen some custom ones that fit nicely, but most off-the-shelf items don't. Haven't purchased new Cocos so I never paid attention to what they normally provide.

:sawzall:

It is an S55

Robert

There are 2x chassis variations on the w220. Standard wheel base and Long Wheel Base.

Your S55 is likely LWB as standard.... so the question was - what was ordered? W220 mats full stop?

If so then this is likely not their fault as the LWB must be stated when ordering mats

Yes, the W220 S55 is LWB in the US. I didn’t even know the other existed, except in my research before I bought mine. At least I’ll know to specify that when I order, although their ordering system doesn’t call that out as an option. Minor web interface issue that they should be happy to cure.

BTW, I would have loved loved loved loved LOVED a SWB S55. But I don’t think they made any, US or ROW, so all S55 are LWB by definition, which should have gotten @8899 the correct size rear mats.

Happy Easter Gents!

Cheers,

@gsxr that’s interesting. I have MB factory W124 all weathers in my 500E and never noticed a thing off about them. What doesn’t fit well in the rear? Mine seem to fit well enough that I didn’t notice anything off.

EDIT: actually, I do recall them being a bit snug up near the front seat. Re-reading your post, that must be what you’re talking about. Maybe 1/2” to 3/4”... not that I’m asking you to look up the measured extra width of the transmission tunnel on W124 V8s. 😂🤪

Yup, that is it. Most people wouldn't notice unless you compared with how the same rear mat fits in a 6-cyl car. The mat should lay *completely* flat, everywhere. On the V8 models, they do not. The inside front corners ride up noticeably onto the trans tunnel.

:strawberry:

@8899, so interesting. I recently purchased a set of mats for the A124 cab and when they arrived I thought the rear ones were mis-sized as they are shorter than the MB ones I removed, by quite a bit. Yesterday I noticed the original ones are actually too long and there was no way I could place them without covering up the rear foot well vent duct. My guess is the original ones were meant for a sedan.

Email response from CocoMats regarding the poor fit of the rear mats for my 2005 S55 AMG:

Hi Greg,
Thank you for writing in and for bringing this to our attention. We sincerely apologize for this mishap.
It appears we made our SWB patterns instead of the correct rear mat patterns; which we show/have (attached is a PDF.) That was a snafu on our behalf and we do apologize.
We will make up new rear mats ASAP. As for those, feel free to use as a back up or something.
Please let us know if you need anything in the meantime.
Regards,
Crissy

Thats a good result! Mistakes happen and it's good they took ownership of it and are making it right.

I do need to get me a set of coco mats! Not sure which car first though :scratchchin:

@JC220 , are any of your W220's SWB? I don't think I've ever actually seen one.

There are quite a few SWB w220s around here in UK. In particular Diesel models and V6s tend to all be SWB version.

Both of mine are LWB. The S430 would have been optioned as such when new whereas the S600 Bi Turbo would have had that as standard.

So yes whilst SWB w220s are around most V8 and V12 models will be LWB.
