I believe, if I am not mistaken from our DG Training years ago that this falls under Dangerous Goods (Compressed/Pressurized Gases) category.
There is some type of restrictions on air transport regarding packing, temperatures, distance from other gases etc etc.

Yes, that is correct so be smart and have it sent by boat, not plane. Thats what I did every time.

I learned this just today... I'm looking for boat shipping, but there is none to be found. Fedex is not working for me for some reason... DHL, DPD, UPS I don't see any option, but a plane.

I don't think your going to find any shipping rate listing for shipment by boat. Use the Post office and the cheapest shipping rate, that normally means the slowest shipping time e.g. boat.

Yes of course you can ship it by air, but has to be declared properly at the Post Office or Shipping agent. Be declaring properly all parties including airport handling agents, airlines staff will load it accordingly.

Air shipping of pressurized equipment requires declaration, specific packing & handling which adds up cost. Taking it by surface shipping i.e. boat, train, truck is simpler and cheaper. Maybe one of our members living along the european coastline (Dutch, German, French..) could do the overseas shipping for you? Poland is a EU member and shipping between EU countries doesn't require any VAT, though it may be some exceptions IIRC.

Shipping to US is not possible for me, every shipping option even the cheapest is by air and I don't see any company that would alow pressurized containers in air transport even if I specified what is in the box.

I'm really sorry should have checked before posting. I don't even know if selling this type of fire extinguisher outside of Poland without some experience in posting something like this would be possible. If this was ABC powder type then it would be a different story.

Side note I didn't know that halon 1211 is still allowed for sell in US, I envy you a bit. I used both types of fire extinguishers and ABC powder is struggling to even put down small fireplace not to mention a car. Halon on the other side is whole different story.

That's why I flagged it in my post above. I know there have been issues that have arisen in the past with regard to shipping fire extinguishers, even within the US domestically. Although I did get a couple of new Gloria units some years ago from a member in Poland who was selling them. They did come by boat, and it took probably 2-2.5 months for them to arrive to my then-residence in Texas.

@gerryvz I found this thread on the benzworld forum today when I was trying to figure some shipping options. Last response wast that he no longer can ship the fire extinguishers to US so something must have happened few years back.

Again sorry, my mistake should have checked.

As Gerry mentioned, I also have received multiple new Glorias from Poland, all sent via boat, never had any problems

Virgin Halon 1211 hasn't been manufactured in nearly 30 years but it can be still used, and re-used. But it is no longer sold.

The US Military still uses many outlawed ozone depleting substances and we have a warehouse in VA that collects and distributes such substances to the old, but still working, fire fighting equipment.. Halon actually works the best still when fighting fires, better than the new ozone friendly compounds.

The package got lost in the shipping... The money was refunded to the buyer. I filed the missing mail search at USPS and nothing has happened for almost a month.

The last tracking info shows:

Departed USPS Regional Destination Facility

I also filed a complaint directly to the poczta polska, and they have 3 months to respond to it...

Is there anything else I can do besides this?

This issue about dangerous goods because the item is pressurized is a head scratcher. I have had the same issue buying shocks from Japan Yahoo and being told that my auction intermediary won't ship shocks. EVERY SINGLE CAR that is air shipped has four shocks installed and that never seems to be an issue when a collector Ferrari is air freighted to a concours.... And I bet many air shipped collector cars have fire extinguishers in the boot or attached to a front seat.

I have experienced the same with struts as they contained “compressed gas” (air!!).

Eventually I was able to provide technical details and the shipment was accepted but it was a PITA.
