Real W124 E60T AMG or conversion?

Hello Guys,

I am new to this forum, great forum BTW

I have been offered a W124 E60T originally from Japan.

The exact car as posted on this forum a few years ago:
https://www.500eboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7536

I would really like to know if this E60T is an original rebuild by AMG Japan, as this car:
https://germancarsforsaleblog.com/1991-mercedes-benz-e60-amg-estate/
or a conversion (done by another professional)
As far as I know, the car is based on a 320TE, it is in good condition, mileage 57k KM's.

- no AMG VIN Badge
- no AMG on the engine cover, but Väth Motortechnik GMBH.

Please find some additional pictures attached.

What would be the value of this car as an original AMG or as a conversion?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Fred

All those ''AMG'' badges stuck all over that car are fake Chinese knock-offs you can buy for $4.99 on eBay.

My guess is Väth did a 6.0 conversion. The rest of that stuff you can easily fake - which it has been.

Faux AMG. I'm calling it.

Funny you say that....I saw the pic of the AMG engine badge and kept on thinking "that is not real, that is a knock-off", I could easily be wrong but I looked at a bunch of pics of theses from real AMG's and the one in this pic just looks "different". I have no clue about the validity of this car and it's AMG roots but your point about the badges seems right on the mark.

p.s. I put a real looking one in the 1st picture below (could be wrong as the stickers have 2 different part #'s)

Do you know what the car is actually available for $ wise?

I see she was a no-sale at 50K USD. No way could you build her for that...

depending on wants and needs it could be an Awesome car to enjoy!
