Hello all, the side tank gasket starting leaking, i.e., between the plastic side tank and core. Has anyone had any luck with radiator shops replacing gaskets or servicing their radiators. I pose this question with the recent discovery that the Behr radiators are NLA. I am hopeful that my factory radiator can be serviced and perhaps last in till a suitable replacement is available again. I would like to stay away from the Nissens replacement for as long as possible.

Try contacting Reseda Radiator in California. Years ago they were able to remanufacture Behr radiators for Mercedes, and I think they can still do this... not sure what the cost is.

Edit: Forgot to mention, back in the late 1990's and early 2000's, it was less expensive to have Reseda repair a Behr, than it was to buy a new Behr. I vaguely recall it being under $200 total. Today, 25 years later, I expect the prices have increased substantially.
