Data card: Mercedes VIN Decoder | Decode Your Mercedes-Benz VIN

I have record of this car in my personal database, with notation from March, 2007. At that time, the car was located in Nashville, TN, and had 112.315 miles on the odometer. The car was listed on eBay for sale, at that time.

NOTE: My records show that this car is actually a model year 1992 car, NOT 1993. Further research confirms that the car was actually manufactured in January, 1992. This also is confirmed via the LastVIN site, of which the link and PDF of the data card are in this post.

I have also attached a copy of the eBay auction, from 2007.

My personal database notes are as follows (per the seller's description):

Seller is "Nashvegas" on 500E.com.

Thoroughly cracked dashboard wood. Worn driver's seat bolster and padding (heavy driver). Description in auction is: The only faults I can find on this car are that the left (driver) side speakers produce a much lower volume than the right side speakers. The Becker head unit was not the best and was repalced with Alpine units later by MB. And the drivers quarter has been repaired to some degree in it life. The paint is excellent but there is evidence of a repair. The tires have tread left but are showing signs of dryrot. I have daily driven the car for a week and it is one of the best Mercedes cars I have ever piloted. Also: # Tires: Will need replacement
# Electronics: Left side speakers inop
# Left Rear 1/4: has been repaired, paint matches and it doesnt show on CARFAX
# Front Bumper: Light peeling on impact strip

Well (and I haven't been a member of Facebook since January 2013, so I have no direct experience about this), it seems that there is a 500E-related Facebook group that is pretty active and highly subscribed to. So, the FB Marketplace seems a logical extension to that group for buying and selling parts, and perhaps cars.

More than a few people have compared that 500E FB Group to this forum, and there are a fair number of folks who in the past have expressed that it is superior to this forum. I'm not so sure about this, but some have said that there are a lot of great "HOW-TO" entries in that FB Group for the E500E.

Also, people "in the know" tell me that Craigslist is pretty much dead these days, and that FB Marketplace is "the place to be" for buying and selling pretty much anything these days (at least, locally).
