    Welcome to the 500Eboard forum.

Since its founding in late 2008, 500Eboard has become the leading resource on the Internet for all things related to the Mercedes-Benz 500E and E500. In recent years, we have also expanded to include the 400E and E420 models, which are directly related to the 500E/E500.

We invite you to browse and take advantage of the information and resources here on the site. If you find helpful information, please register for full membership, and you'll find even more resources available. Feel free to ask questions, and make liberal use of the "Search" function to find answers.

We hope you will become an active contributor to the community!

    Sincerely,

Moderator edit: Cleaved this post off this thread about another project car.

Dave, there are even more surprising sellers with rather 'unrealistic' expectations.. 🙄🫣🤦🏽‍♂️

This one post I saw on FB at 'Vintage European'-'s profile (linked below) reminded me of your comment to the spare wheel well:

No affiliation - nor VIN available (haven't contacted the poster)

Different car, I guess/hope - no confusion with original post on this thread is intended!

Ps. - I now noticed that 'Kay DL' (from link on post #1) has also posted on IG (I think there his profile is 'w124be', since all his stuff with refurbished steering wheels and wood trim is present too) about this disgraced example (edit - last two photos added)

=========

For some reason W124 500E owners think that no matter how trashed, neglected or rusty their car is, it still is worth its weight in gold...
The owner of this car wants 25,000 EU for this sorry mess, which used to be 500E... if you want to buy I`ll put you in touch :D

Do you know where this is located?
My pleasure as always - and thanks for cleaving post into an own thread!

I don't have information about where it's located - but license plates seem to be from France.

With format being prior to 1995/96 maybe, since they lack EU signs - and IICR numbers/letters were arranged differently before EU-format took over.

I could try hitting on 'Vintage European's FB profile, since they appear to share same passion for MB cars from those days (as I've read on multiple of their posts).

They could possibly hell and facilitate either location, e-mail or phone from seller, VIN, etc.

Alberto
