FOR SALE 1992 500E, Spruce Green / Cream-Beige, 67kmi, $62k, Canepa (Scotts Valley, CA)

Looks nice. Super clean underneath for a northeast car. Odd that the spare tire well was refinished top & bottom.

Bet they want more than a dollar per mile.

Yea, very nice looking car.
Strange in the yahoo article on this specific car it says "This particular example is delightfully original, even down to the original exhaust system, which is a rarity with AMG counterparts typically fitted by this stage."

It's hard for me to imagine the actual muffler itself on this car is original, unless it was painted.

I looked at the spare tire well and thought "can this be original/untouched", I guess it's not.

I actually like when sellers detail the underside, and don't mind if they paint/touch-up a few things (provided they are not painting something to hide something - which I doubt this seller would). I don't know the seller, but believe they have a reputation for selling some nice cars.

p.s. I thought this car was really nice:

If I had not bought my car ~6 mos ago, I think I would have bought this E55. While $29K seems a bit high for a 17 year old E55, this rare color combo and low mileage is a lot of car if you compare it to what this 1993 500E will likely sell for. Yes, they are two completely different cars, but even at $29K this E55 seemed like a lot of car.

In the words of Public Enemy... Don't believe the hype.

The forum crew here smoked out the BS on the last 036 they had on the market...
