1996 BRABUS E60 - $45,000 (Shirley)

1996 BRABUS W210 E60 in Black Opal with grey leather
Extremely rare, perhaps the only one in North America exactly like this and most certainly the only one for sale.
109,000 kilometers or 68,000 miles
Very clean inside and out with beautiful paint.
Offered for sale by the second owner and I have owned the car since 2014.
This car was built by BRABUS in Bottrop and had the following modifications performed there:
BRABUS hand built M119 6.0 liter 32 valve V8 rated at 425hp @ 5700rpm and 456 lb-ft @ 3700rpm
BRABUS V-max limiter removal kit which includes a huge oil cooler upgrade
BRABUS tuned 5G-Tronic transmission
BRABUS big brake kit made by Alcon
BRABUS suspension and wheels
BRABUS exhaust
BRABUS body kit and lighting upgrades
BRABUS Bio-Mastic leather on the seats and door panels
BRABUS steering wheel, shift knob and additional wood trim
BRABUS carpet and machined foot pedals
BRABUS SS door sills
I was told that the car was used as an official BRABUS promotion car which is why it has the BRABUS information written on the lower rear doors. If you don’t want the writing it can be removed easily.
Lots of photos available and enclosed delivery can be arranged.

Odd that this car is a 96 model, yet it has facelift mirrors and tail lights. Did MB facelift cars earlier in Europe or Canada? The tail lights require a facelift trunk panel. I suppose the Brabus conversion could have been done after 2000.

1996 was first year of production, so my guess is either Brabus or one of the owners changed the door mirrors & tail lights. Factory facelift was as of 2000. Neat car, assuming the engine checks out as 6.0L.

@WDB748372 - is this one on your radar?

Not sure when the cutoff is to facelift but I think generally Europe gets stuff first then North America.
Don't the facelift tail lights still fit, EPC shows trunk panels are the same (210-750-12-75). I fitted the PFL tail lights on my facelift. Although generally I see it the other way around.

I saw this early December, same price and photos. Funky car. As @sheward mentioned the mirrors are changed. Also the bumpers seem to have parking sensors but the switch is missing on the center console (should to the left of the mirror adjustment) nor are the bar/meter indicators present in the wood trims. I don't remember seeing a wood handle for the glove box or the speaker covers in the A-pillar. Maybe seller mixed grey with anthracite but certainly isn't the 208A Leather Grey interior. Kinda difficult to find the VIN. Too many results and still unsure of the exact options.

Interesting the EPC shows the same trunk lid. The later lights can be made to fit the early cars by heating a small portion of the lights' back that foul with the early trunks' cavity. Yes, I actually committed this sin. I can see where the reverse would work as you found out.

I had read of this issue before I verified it.
