Just curious .
Any one ever has initiated action class lawsuit against Mercedes regards the ETA wiring issue? Engine wiring issue?

This is a question I have had for years. How much did Mercedes have to pay to pay off US officials to get away with that fiasco is the question. Make no mistake there was major corruption involved. How many times has the US government forced other auto makers into mandatory recalls for less in the interest of "public safety"? Also how much did the green environmental issue with this eco junk EU mandated stuff play into this?
I'm looking at this from the purely political side BTW because of what I do and it stinks like hell!

Oh, that´s easy to explain...
Why did he go to prison? He didn't pay.
And they didn't go to jail? They paid...

I believe there has been legal action against MB for the wiring issue, although it really did not begin to appear until the cars were some years old. I know for a fact that there have been complaints made to the NHTSB about the wiring using their on-line complaint form.

Nothing to my knowledge has ever been done, nor was MB ever held to account.

It wasn't just Mercedes who got caught with the Eco Junk wiring. I know for fact that Volvo and BMW also had issues. Also Airbus and several other non automobile companies had major issues with the stuff. It was a EU environmental and hugely political fiasco and millions world wide got hammered by it all. Airbus was the worst with smoke in cabins and a couple crashes due to this junk failing. It was hugely political in how it all came about and there was huge political corruption involved. We the consumers who were affected got royally screwed in it all. Such are the things of the global political elite and their games. It all stinks to high heavens and wasn't just Mercedes who got caught by this mess.
