Airpump substitution

Hi, after 240tkm my airpump-pulley is gone. If I know there were versions with top guide pulley despite of the airpump. Anyone has made this conversion before and know the parts-numbers.

Simplest thing to do is to disconnect the air pump power supply. The bearing of the air pump pulley can be replaced but not with MB part (try SKF,FAG).

If you take a look at the 12th. thread below this thread here on the M119 forum catalog, I guess you'll find most information you need about this air pump. Btw - why don't you take off the whole thing and use a shorter serpentine belt, or install the replacement pulley only?

I've seen on ebay.de idler brackets for where the airpump goes. My M103 was an 86' and had no airpump- had a similar bracket.

Not a fan of changing belt lengths as then you get into something which is not in dealer item-traveling it can leave you stranded for days.

Well, I partly agree and see the problem if you got stuck along the road, but how often do that happen? A good thing is also to keep a specific record for all mods which departs from the stock set-up. But when that's said, I haven't done the air pump deletion myself yet.
