Any interest in Evo reps?

I've bought some wheels from a distributor in Asia who sent me an updated list that included what looks like a set of Evo replica wheels which I want for my 500E.
They're 17x8 ET37

Including shipping and taxes, they're about $1400 for a set but I can get a discount on the shipping if I buy 3 or more sets because they can go on a boat. It takes about a month to six wheels but the price is lower. I'm hoping to get them $1200 or less, if I can get two or more people to come in with me.

This is including taxes but will be shipped to DFW, Texas. I've bought from this supplier before and they come well packaged. I will be happy to ship them anywhere in the US with a provided label.

Are these Maxilites, or yet another brand that has copied the Evo design? Guessing another one, as Maxilites should be 8.25" wide and ET34, same as the originals.

If so, I don't think so. Would they work with that offset with a 500E?

17x8 ET37 is not ideal for a 500E, but yes it would work fine. This would pull the wheel/tire inward 3mm vs the stock 8-hole wheels. (Edit - this assumes the aftermarket wheel spoke will clear the brake caliper, which it should, if the design was copied closely.)

Most E500E owners would likely want a wider wheel, like 8.5". The 17x8 ET37 is actually a decent fitment for standard narrow-body 124... moderately aggressive, but doable.

If they are - it was his idea to revive the old design, and he fought with German authorities for quite a while to get them approved for use in Germany. Those who’ve been driving with these sets haven’t had any complaints so far, the value for money is ok.
