Does anyone know where I can read the manual that explains the operation of the analog AMPS phone that came w the car?

my turns on and raises the antenna. Then, 5 seconds later, it shuts off. I sure woukd like to know how it is supposed to work. Thanks.

I have a few copies of the cell phone manual laying around in the dozens of owners' manual packs that I have. I'll try to round one up and send it to you. Please let me know your mailing address.

Note that the technology by which these mobile phones were using at the time, was discontinued by the major carriers some years back. So they will not work on current mobular networks.

Thank you Gerry, I will pm you my address. Mobular networks are fascinating to me - certainly a precursor of both cellular and mobile networks. :-)

Yes, a mobular phone is a great thing. We used to say "Hey, mob me up when you can!" instead of "Call me up".

I found an unopened, factory-fresh mobular operating manual from a 1994 car in my stash of dozens of manual packs, and am sending it to you tonight via US Priority Mail at no charge to you. It also includes a CD changer card (which doesn't help you).

You should have it on Friday, or Saturday at the latest. I hope this helps you.

Cheers,
Gerry
