Hello am installing CD changer in my 500e ... wondering what is the gray cable for? red is plus brown is minus connecting it directly to the battery everything works without any weirdness but wonder what to do with the gray cable? Question two is if I can have the CD changer constantly directly connected to the battery? grateful for the answer /// adam

This is usually what the power plug looks like for the Becker 1432 systems (note that it is a 4 pin plug).

Note that all 4 pins are not always populated everywhere throughout the system. In this picture below you can see that this connector, which is powering the receiver module in the trunk for the BW1432, is using only brown and red.

Sorry I don't know exactly what the grey wire is for on a Becker 980 and whether or not it actually has any illumination or not.
