I am pretty pumped.

Ordering from a Taiwan wheel company custom exact AMG monoblock replica wheels but FORGED so it'll be around 18 lbs per wheel which is fantastic!
I will custom make the offset slight more aggressive so it sits perfect flush with the fender.

The AMG logo will also be on these wheels which is cool and Benz center caps fit perfectly too.

I'll be ordering 18x8 and 18x9 AMG monoblock style from the w210 E55.

around $1,750 a set isnt too bad for custom Forged wheels!

Nice! Got any photos? What car will these go on? If it's a 500E, why not make both wheels 0.5" wider? 😁

Remember that you may get hit with unexpected duty/tariffs on delivery as mentioned here.
Gonna get them on the C36 first. If I like them, i'll do them for the e500 and for sure, i will get them extra wide right up the fender as much as possible without rubbing.

I wonder how nimble and quick driving the car will feel dropping at least 15 to 17lbs of unspring weight per corner! that is a mega weight savings!

@gsxr

Nice!

Do they custom wheels or they have models ready? Can they make 3pcs construction? Wanna share the supplier?

Do they have proper certificates for the wheels? JWL and VIA ?

Are they from that ebay vendor.. Asianbodykits? Ive seen alot of "forged custom" wheels around, then searching for wheels..1750 dollars is kinda " to cheap" to be true/good though....

no models are ready. have to custom make them. I am pretty sure 3 piece can be done but more expensive.

I actually dont know their exact name. They have a taiwan chinese name. they deal with local market only. I am working through them with my local taiwan friend. I will check on TUV approved and certified, etc. on them.

As soon as I get my wheeis done and If i personally like them and impressed, i'll share more information. I want to actually WEIGH the wheels myself to make sure its less than 20 lbs a wheel.

no. they are not on ebay or do any business using english language. No one there speaks any english.

You'll be surprised how much forged wheel prices have come down especially with many China wheels manufacturing plants.

Premier wheels manufacturer in Taiwan. Personally, I would not consider any wheels from that part of the world (unless the wheels are from Neez or Volk-RAYS from Japan), but SAI has an established name.
Very surprised you still have that negatiave bias in year 2025. the world has changed a lot. You cant even get custom made wheels in Europe or Japan anymore. Taiwan is TOP NOTCH quality in many areas of manufacturing all types of products. Last I checked TSMC, the great semiconductor fab make is Taiwan based and no other company in the world comes close. Japan cant do it or come close.

I’m not a person who is willing to take a chance on automotive parts from that part of the world just yet, especially when it comes to wheels. I also wanted custom forged wheels for my whip and got them from a company that has a long and established name in making excellent wheels right here in the U.S. I doubt that you will find a lot of 036 owners here that have any parts from that part of the world.

For an example of the kind of work that can come from Taiwan, have a look at "remaking Classics" on Utube or your favorite internet source. As I write this, I read that the video is unavailable due to copyright infringement thru MB. The video showcases a Taiwanese company hand building exact replicas of 5 different cars including the 56 MB 300 SL and the Porsche speedster for a fraction of the actual market value of the cars. I will say the craftsmanship and skills are as good as anything in the world, if not superior. Truly amazing.

The w124 following and old benz following is insane and crazy in Taiwan.
I wish I had the mechanics who fix old benz cars like they do in Taiwan. I hear all the time from friends in MId-west USA and even in florida, they cant people willing to fix old benz cars such as w201, w124, and even w202. My buddy has a C43 AMG w202 that doesnt start up. He cant find a mechanic in Ohio area who is willing to help and actually finish the job. they all give up and stop!

Taiwan also makes the best bicycles in the world. "Giant Inc. bikes.
to have a complete sweeping general negative bias on a region is INSANE MINDSET. But to each their own. LOL

The forged reps are really good now! I haven't purchased anything major yet and have been dealing with middlemen but I've been pretty impressed with the things I'm receiving
Exactly. Forged automotive wheel isnt ROCKET SCIENCE. Its been done now for decades. Its NOT AI tech or advanced chip fab down to 1nm size. lol
Those crazy business models of companies scam charging $1,000 bucks for 1 forged wheel is OVER and DONE. Some people still want to pay that due to a mental bias they have, sure go ahead. lol

Blocked pretty well, I couldn't even find it...

The only issue I have with these replica wheels is that they are using the AMG logo. It's awesome that they are stronger, lighter, and probably better finished but using the AMG name is misrepresentation. And to be clear, I have no specific love for AMG in itself but I do respect their trademark.

This is a trailer for the video that was taken down. I misrepresented the company's location as Taiwan. Apologies. As one can see in the clip, nearly all of the craftsmen are young men that learn under the tutelage of a master craftsman. These people, including the master, have never even seen these cars in real life due to strict import laws there. They work from factory blueprints and pictures!

sure. but the old AMG logo isnt even used anymore from this generation AMG. They only use the logo. because I ask them too.

That is a slippery slope. You can not assume AMG abandoned the old style logo. If they still use it in commerce its still protected under trademark and if they are not using it, all they need to do is trademark it separate from the new logo to maintain the trademark on it. Although, given all of the fake AMG products all over the internet, I don't believe they care too much about protecting the brand (unlike Rolex)

Not your best example there mister,,because even Lemfoerder is not of superb quality these days. And the main reason for that is lower cost production,,resulting in poorer quality ;)And not to mention Meyle HD,,,which is really low quality. Though the HD is better than Meyle...but still. But then again, partsquality in general has gone down the drain the last 5-10 years.
