WANTED cv shafts, center console wood, trunk liners

Looking for both cv shafts in good shape, most of the trunk liners if in nice shape or just lower and the passenger side. Wood pieces from center console. If anything in central tx, would prefer to swap rear seat to bench

@yevgenievich, You should check the auto junk yards for the CV axel shafts. 400E420 shafts will work also. I live in SoCal and purchased a perfect one from a yard on the east coast. I believe it was South Carolina. Go on line or call a local junk yard they can check for you nationally.

Anyway it’s worth a try unless you can find on locally at a LQK Pick-A-Part. If you find a whole car you might find the wood bits also

BTW, I paid approximately $120.00 shipped. to SoCal. I’m sure the prices are much higher today.

Good Luck

400E/E420 (W124) with optional ASR have identical axle half-shafts, and should be relatively easy to locate. The non-ASR axles are smaller diameter (25mm vs 32mm, IIRC).

most of the trunk liners if in nice shape or just lower and the passenger side.
The trunk liners are NLA and the only other donors for sides are the 95 E300 diesel, which is about as rare as the 500E... these will be tough to find. The lower is flat, replicate it from some similar-appearing bulk carpet.

Wood pieces from center console.
Send yours out for refinishing, unless damaged beyond repair (or missing). Donors are available from any other 124 with burled walnut wood.

Most 90-up (?) W124 sedans with leather interior should be donors... may also need the seat belt buckle/latch assembly from the donor car. Keep the bench rear stuff if you have space to store it, those will be difficult to find if you ever wanted to switch back.

:pc1:

I have the trunk liner/mat that covers the spare wheel/floor in like new shape.

Shipping it from CT would seem tough though since it doesn't really bend or roll up...

AFAIK, Greyhound no longer accepts parcel shipments:

"Greyhound will end its package express shipping operations as of September 30, 2022. In conjunction with ending the service, placing an online shipment will not be available past September 15, 2022."

Was not aware, thanks for the heads up. Sounds like they got tired of people like me shipping giant sub frames that were barely within their size and weight limits.

Thanks. Shipping possibly with greyhound if have a terminal near by, or depending on size might go through reasonably with fedex. I can check tomorrow what rates look like
I can easily make a box for it with cardboard if FedEx or UPS price is reasonable. I only want $40 for it.

I have a pair of CV shafts taken off a low mileage 1993 500E.
Send me a PM if interested

Could you estimate box size and weight before packing? Sorry did not have a chance to roughly check shipping yet. I really need everything in the trunk at this point.

I was looking at shipping just the lower mat and it really was looking better to try source all the trunk liners pieces locally. Is there a difference in trunk liners between 92 and 94?

Trunk liners are the same between all years but are different between 70L tank and 90L tank.

Check pirate ship.com for great deals on ups and usps shipping rates. You don’t need some fancy account and can pay with PayPal and print label at home.

I’ve used them many times with discounts as much as 65% off
