Gerry,
Is there any way to upload files so that others may download them?
For example, being new to 500E ownership and planning on doing my own maintenance, I decided to develop a maintenance checklist to stay organized. Others may possibly want to use a similar list, so no point reinventing the wheel. My 15K list looks like this:
While I can post this image and email the files upon request, that is a pretty old school way of doing things and relies on me to keep up with the topic and send files when asked.
On a related note, I could not figure out which forum to post the worksheet info, as it is more general than any of them (i.e. there is a M119 forum, but no general maintenance one). Any suggestions?

Any message screen has a place to attach a file at the bottom of the message. You just specify the file's location on your hard drive with the "browse" button and upload it. Just hit "post reply" to this message and the message reply entry screen will come up, and you should see the "attach file(s)" area at the bottom of the screen.
Any major type of file such as PDF, JPG, DOC, GIF, etc. can be uploaded.
If you are unable, let me know and I can add it to your message.
I will create a "maintenance documents' subforum for this and other docs that I also have. Factory TSBs and other items would be able to be posted here too.
Good idea. I'll do it tonight. :up2:
Cheers,
Gerry

Thanks -- files are downloaded.
BTW, I never gave you any info on my car -- what would you like for your records?

That's very kind of you for the offer, please feel free to PM me whatevery you like.
At a basic level I like to have VIN, location of car, mileage, exterior and interior leather colors (though this of course is available through factory data sources, but occasionally colors are changed), and any mods or interesting stuff that has been done to the car that deviates from stock - for example, wheels, exhaust, interior mods, stereo, steering wheel, etc. If the car has any options like the phone or CD changer, always nice to have although again available from factory records.

Cheers,
Gerry
