Driver side high beam

So when I bought my car from the PO he told me the driver side high beam was out. I put in a new H3 but when I went to test it, Not only does the main head light (low beam) go out but the high beam doesn't turn on. Whats the deal. Does anyone know whats going on. I checked all the connections and they look fine. The passenger side works as it should.

Thanks,
Mario

Does the car have stock lights or were they upgraded to European headlights? You might want to check the wiring of the driver's side pin connector. When I switched to European headlights and had to re-wire from a 4-pin to 6-pin connector, I correctly wired the passenger side but mis-wired the driver's side. Turns out that the instructions for wiring work fine on the passenger side, but needed to be reversed (right is left and left is right) for the driver's side. Once I figured that out & re-wired them properly, they worked fine. The first time I did it incorrectly I had symptoms similar to what you've described.
