I recently parted ways with my .036...here are a few things that didn't go with the car....

Electronic throttle body/actuator w/ASR (part#: 000 141 94 25) -- $400 shipped CONUS

i've never installed it, kept in dry storage...picked it as a back up...some history on it....

'92 LH module (part #: 014 545 18 32) -- $200 shipped CONUS

picked this up from gsxr last Aug...no issues, worked perfectly....(this is a w140 unit)

dave (aka gsxr) assured me this unit offers WOT enrichment just like the w124.036 module...

thanks for looking...

No one wants +7hp at WOT...?...open loop is your friend...

Backup ETA anyone...? Arguably the most unreliably expensive part next to the original harness....OEM retails for nearly $1k !!!!

Damn I bought a standard w124 car cover a little over a year ago for $100 with no bag and moderately used. :(

John, remember the ASR and non-ASR throttle bodies are different, and also early/late connectors... make sure yours is compatible!

The LH will be fine though for any W124/M119 with a 5.0 motor. Welcome to the forum, btw!

:welcome:

I did not make it clear that it is the ETA I offer $200 for.

Thanks for keeping a check on me Dave, but the 400E has ASR (defeated) and wants the same part number.

Hi John,

Ah, got it - keep forgetting your car has (defeated) ASR. However, if your 400E is a 1992 (right?) then it will require the "early" ASR ETA, p/n 000-141-79-25... the connector is totally different than the late ASR ETA, p/n 000-141-94-25. Even if you install a late engine which the EPC seems to indicate would use the late ETA, the ETA needs to match the chassis, not the engine. I need to post photos of the two different ETA connector types, don't have that on my website yet...

Hi valvfloat. Mine needs a different connector, but I am pretty sure I still would like to have yours as a backup. We will be opening up the wiring on mine Thursday (snow coming tonight).

Sorry I am late getting back to you. I was certain I was email notify subscribed to this thread, but did not get it.

Hi valvfloat. The wiring in my ETA is good but I would still like to buy yours as a spare (mine has 213K miles on it) - which I accept has a different connector on it - if you accept my offer - with the proviso that I see it's condition in a picture. Do you have one? Sorry for the run on sentence, today is being very odd.

module and eta still available...

no lowballers please....reasonable offers only....

btw...parts.com list is $960

Update - ETA is sold as well (no, I didn't buy it, but I should have - d'oh!). Not sure if the LH module is still available or if that sold too.

How do you know if the LH module is compatible? There are so many p/n for these with just slight number variations.

You take great risk in questioning GSXR's knowledge as to EZL and LH Module cross-compatibility..... :tvhappy:

I know these are functionally compatible, as one of my 500E's came with this module installed, and it ran perfectly. Just recently, a forum member in Europe found a Euro EPC reference indicating that this module is compatible with) the 500E. I still don't know what the programming difference is though.

In general you want a 5.0L LH module that was used with the 124.036 chassis. I think the same modules are used in the early R129 as well.

Some of the W140 modules will work, but the programming may differ slightly, depending on the exact number. For example the later W140 LH modules in USA had a lower top speed limiter, and there may be other differences too. The safest thing is to get the identical part number to what came in your 500 from the factory.

I believe Doran sold it a long time ago. I edited the original post. The #18 module should work fine.
