Did you ask for the build date? Very important when buying a used ETA

Not sure about the part # (Dave will know I'm sure) but as a quick check does your ETA have that same round plug? If you search 'Pancake connector' that's the other type of plug usually in 1992's. Look near the coffin box under the bonnet.

No, that will not fit, for 2 reasons:

1) That is the late-style connector which only fits 94-up / facelift E500's, and IIRC you have a 1992 500E.

2) That part number is for an R129 which has a shorter cable. You can buy the early cable and install it on that ETA but this would require more work.

Also... if the datecode is 1992-1996 on that ETA, it's very likely DOA. I can't read the label in the photo but it appears to be 92-96 vintage.

:(

Dave where can I get a cable to replace a bad one in a ETA ? This ETA is from a M104 non-ASR. 000 141 57 25. I've never seen the cable for sale separately. Thanks

As far as I know, they are NLA for the M104 ETA's.
It's either rewire it or find an updated ETA.
Rewire has been document on several MB sites.
I think it is a semi-PITA, but doable.

I only know of the early-style cable available separately (pics attached).

Nobody has ever found a part number for the late-style cable, and it's possible MB never sold it separately? I think the M104 only used the late-style connector.
