I think I recognize that person... may be located in SoCal. Check out some of his other posts. Found this comment about the 500E being parted:

He's a bit of a character. Has a propensity to "fish" for buyers (his daddy owns a MB wrecking yard). Sometimes he sells, sometimes he will throw an excuse and withdraw the part. Mostly the latter.

I've seen these e500 body parts FS for 2+ years on/off. He's even mounted these fenders on his wagon dreaming/posting about it.

Lol. This was my friends car that was burned down by an arsonist back in 2006 in front of his house. Guy got caught a few hrs later burning a hand full of other cars.

the yard was in the City of Santa Paula, CA by the highway 126, but they closed it a while ago... everything was scrapped;

Anybody know where is the car/junkyard located ?

VIN frm the photo above was salvaged/rebuilt in 1999, then junked as non-rebuildable in 2004. AutoCheck attached.

As far as I know the big junkyard was closed down a while back last time i talked with Daniel, the son of the owner.
It was owned by these guys: http://doktorbenz.com/
They still have couple large warehouses where they restore early mercedes models (and porsches) and their back yard is full or racks with various MB parts.

i think you'd reach the owner... their shop is around Main St. and 12th

Please read the text in the first post... it was from 7 years ago, and on a different forum. The original seller's email was in the post. Try contacting them directly.

The impact strip is NLA and will be very difficult to find if you want an original, not a replica.

You'd have to get one custom fabricated, copying the original. I don't know of any available "off the shelf". If you had a quality reproduction made, it's likely some other people would want to buy one too...
