Just FYI... this is an early wheel that only fits over single-piston front calipers. It won't clear the late 294x25 brakes with 4-piston calipers. (Not sure about the 295x22 brakes used on some early 90's M104/M119). Note the holes are oval shaped, not square, this is the identifier for early vs late.

I never noticed this before --- but these early w124 wheels, when viewed from the backside, looks very similar to the bundt wheel when viewed from the front side!

Well, they spent a lot of time designing a wheel that moved air in an appropriate qty in/around the brakes.... so in an effort to update the look whilst retaining the functionality it does make sense to keep the underlying theme the same.
