500E Full Respray

Did the shop disassemble/reassemble or did you do that yourself? That's VERY cheap for a proper respray. It looks great in the pics.

$3k sounds downright reasonable. Was it DuPont, PPG, Sikkens, Glasurit...?

If I could find a shop that would do it for $3k (if I did all the disassembly/reassembly), I've got a couple cars I'd send their way.

:buggin:

Judging by the shacks in the background our friend is in Los Angeles. $3,000 is a decent price in central America and many central Americans are excellent with their hands.

When I lived in LA, my grandfather nicely scraped his new car. Obviously I took care of it. North American shops around west LA wanted $2,500-$3,500. A central American shop in "the valley" did a superb job for $800.

3k?

Ill ship them my car right now. It needs a full respray hell Ill even dissemble it for them.

Cant seem to find anything under 5k plus in north California unless you want a Russian guy to do it for you in his "shop"

$3k? Jlaa wouldn't this be $10k around us? That seems very inexpensive.

Car looks amazing, I would be scared to drive my car if it looked that good. And I have every reason for a front hood and both bumper respray on mine.

At this point I will mention that across the pond a pro repaint runs for about £5kgbp.

However I get pro repaints for £450 or so since I do all the work including even masking the car up in their booth then they only Bill me for his time spraying :wootrock:

I also provide them with the paint from a local motor parts store who can supply Glasurit paints

The paint shop I used charges $90 per hr. for mechanical work or disassembly. They charge $45 per hr. for paint, prep and bodywork. Save money and learn how your car was assembled at the same time. Try out all your cuss words in the privacy of your own garage.
