Function of intake manifold temperature sensor

Does anyone know the function of the intake manifold temperature sensor, postion 59 ?
Position 62 is the coolant temperature sensor, that is clear but what is beside this the function of the sensor showed on position 59 ?

#65 (4-pin) is for the engine management computers.

#62 (1-pin) is for the dash temp gauge.

#59 (2-pin) is for the HVAC system, which also controls the twin electric fan high-speed (turns on at 107°C), AC compressor safety shutoff, and keeps the blower motor from blasting cold air when heat is selected and the engine is cold.
