I just had my car professionaly detailed , for now i have Swissvax Shield , and i will be using "Alchimy 7 crystalis" in the future

( 60% ivory carnauba )

It's a french brand of car care products .

My detailer "offered" me to use ceramic coating from G-techniq instead of using wax .

Does somebody have experience with this new technology , i always been a fan of waxing but if i can have an even more durable protection :scratchchin:

There are a number of these "coatings" out there ... Liquid Glass, Griot's Paint Sealant, Klasse, Meguiar's Synthetic Sealant, Zaino, Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, etc.

IMHO best to go with a wax.

Sealant is all man made. (lab)
A good wax is based on often carnauba or some other tree/nature stuff and some lab stuff.

Sealant will last longer often up to around 5-7 months. And it has a higher "burnoff" temp when a wax. But does not have that deep, rich depth what a good wax has.

I personal has 2-3 rounds of sealer before the summer and just add a layer of wax after every wash. And when the summer ends I still have some sealer left on the car. A wash and wax treatment it gets every 1-2 months.
