Nice, but it would be better if you could get rid of the damned "Subscribe now" link covering the speed readout at the bottom.

Cool!

Just mushroom the circled button.

Edit: Also, did he seriously overtake a Peugeot 208 in the beginning? :p

Maybe we can combine it when the Site Honcho is on his Euro tour.
Yes, I just got word on Monday that the Alpentour is happening June 20-23, 2013. So, it looks like the 2013 GVZ Euro Tour will be happening approximately June 15-July 6, and will be including stops in London to visit Bing and others, and Amsterdam again to visit Jelmer and Arkady, if available. Unfortunately I can't bring rental cars on the Nurburgring or I would get banned from renting from that company again, for life....

Cheers,
Gerry

Guten Morgen zusammen

Can't you rent a car at the 'Ring for that purpose? There has to be places that will rent cars for use at the 'Ring, although I bet it isn't cheap.

:mushroom:

Yes, you do have the option to rent a car for the 'Ring, as well as take a "Ring Taxi" (BMW M5 factory 'Ring Taxi driver Sabine HIGHLY recommended).

The only time I've ever been more scared in a car was when Erich Waxenberger took me around the Portland International Raceway track in my own 300SEL 6.3....

Indeed, it's pretty expensive to rent a car to take on the 'Ring.

Fantastic woman. I really enjoyed those Top Gear episodes with her.

Sometimes I dream of taking my 036 to that track... ;-)

Get an .036 to the 'Ring and see what it takes to get Sabine to drive it for a flying timed lap!

:mushroom:

Sabine, is she free? I hope together w a couple of 036 friendos next spring/summer do the RING although I belive there will be one 034 prepared for the task. I really would considder said Sabine for co: pilot.
One of the guys already has been there twice running the 036 a couple of laps. I will talk him into writing up a story about these occations ans see if he can upload a clip or two,,Roger

Has anyone ever taken a 036 around that track? If not, it might be fun to have her do it -- Drive the car, I mean.

Eeh, you didn't read this I take it? Maybe I wasn't "clear" enough, sorry for that,,Roger

He didn't see my post either. Must not have had his coffee yet...

:jelmerian:

Yeah, guess I'll stop posting from work, never can take the time to fully read (or describe) stuff... Point taken.

Great clip G !!

There is an AMG Academy at the 'Ring G !! I have some pictures of a slew of Academy SLS's going around it. So cool. That would be the ultimate awesomeness. Hear that Santa !? I've gotten around the Nordschliefe under 10 minutes so on GT5, in a stock 55' Gullwing. LOL

Yes, sure you can 'rent' prepped cars for the Ring'...it IS very expensive....but it might be worth every dollar. Sabine /Taxi rides are like $300+ per person; if you can get a slot....they are booked many months in advance. She's OK in person btw; big teeth/girl.
