I read that article a few days ago. 1/4 mile data was 11.0 @ 129mph, which is insane for bone stock. The M5 beat it by 0.1 sec and 1mph.

So, um, does anyone know what kidneys are selling for these days? I just realized I have 2 that are redundant...

What’s interesting to me about these comparisons is how they dare not compare anything to an SClass AMG. “Redneck” is not a word that would ever come up. That’s what the folks at Affalterbach have always really been about, at least to me, although ever since The Hammer perhaps that’s debatable. Another thing I found interesting was that the ‘18 M5 now is almost as big as my ‘06 S55, where they used to be in separate classes altogether.

Car and Driver can keep entertaining folks with the Hooligan in the three piece suit. I’ll stick with the brute (Mr. Hyde) in the tux, thank you very much.

Sorry but my qualifier for redneck car/engine is Summit Racing must have 20+ aftermarket camshafts options. Seriously Ray Charles could build a SBC.
