Hello All,

Working on the last few bits of my 034 manual swap pieces and am looking for a very specific and apparently hard to find flare nut.... I've tried all my local shops and no one has one... looked online and can't find the same style.

The size I need is m12 x 1.0 and it needs to be inverted to accept a double flare on 5/16 or 8mm brake line... I've attached a few pictures, these are commonly found on many different manual Mercedes models. I have one already from my used W124 clutch master cylinder so I only need one more if someone happens to have one in their collection. Or if someone has a source online would appreciate it greatly!

You should be able to buy the fittings separately, and cut/flare the tubing with an ISO/DIN bubble flare tool. I had to do this for an SLS hard line repairs years ago - wasn't fun, but it was leak-free afterwards.

:sawzall:

FINALLY!!! Had skipped over this source because the picture of the fitting is different until you select double flare which I didn't see the first time, Belmetric ftw!

Only thing is the factory line is 8mm... so still don't know if these would work??

Give them a call to confirm. Make sure you've measured both the pipe OD and the fitting thread sizes. AFAIK it's all standard stuff but I'm not certain....

Spoke with Matt at Belmetric, he said they carry that fitting size designed for 6mm tubing specifically for Mercedes trucks... so, I'll have to double check when I'm home if the piece I have is in fact 8mm and not 6mm...

Turns out my line was in fact 6mm... like they say, measure twice... Ordered the flare nuts from belmetric and will source some 6mm nickel copper line locally!
