Ignition Switches

I changed my ignition switch to new unit for fixing power issues. Unfortunately replacement didn't fix the power issue and I even ordered wrong ignition switch to my car. Anyway, I took some photos where you can see the differences between early and late ignition switches.
Part numbers for ignition switches are A124 462 03 93 replaced by A202 545 01 04
(late type ignition switch) and early type A124 462 02 93 replaced by A202 545 02 04.
Main two differences are amount of pins and length so they are not interchangeable to each other.
Here are the pics.

Left one is late type ignition switch.

Hope you find useful for this small info. I have more pics if needed.

I have dissambled mine this afternoon because I want to exchange this for a new one and it was a suprise that mine is containing a combination of the two you mentioned. See the photos.
The number on the sticker is also different. Which one should I have to order now by the dealer ?

124-460-03-04 is not a valid replacement part number in the EPC. It is likely a manufacturing part number, which is not always the same as the replacement/spare part number.

You should order the part number shown in the EPC for your VIN.

But there are two types or possibly more ?
For the early cars and for the later cars I understood.
Mine is not the early type and not that one for the late cars.

See that thing in the middle. That is from the early type (A202 545 02 04)
And the pins are the same as the newer type (A202 545 01 04)

I had ordered the part nummer by VIN in the EPC and then I was getting this one (see photo)
OEM A202 545 02 04

My question is: my car has the 7 pins powerplug, can I put the newer type in my car (A202 545 01 04) without that other center locking thing in the middle ?
