Just when I think I have seen it all when it comes to horrible badging someone always seems to up the ante. I came up on this GLK at a stoplight in Newport Beach yesterday. Pretty much left me speechless....

They left off AMG, Kompressor, BluTec, Brabus, RENNtech, and a number of others... it would be hilarious to quietly walk by and stick on some more on the passenger side.

What's most confusing is trying to make the word "turbo" into something to brag about. All petrolheads knows that the turbo moniker on a new standard car is just downsizing of the engine and slapping a turbo on to make the car accelerate at all, to clear the emissions. It's not a performance part, it's a fuel saving part.

It's not 1984 any more...

Seems like MB knows how to make everything in the world a "dealer only / need VIN" part, except badging. I understand it's cheap, silly revenue and all, but jeeeez.

maw

I've seen this GLK on the 405. smh All that's missing is an AMG emblem.
