OK - black pearl/black. 147K miles.

RennTech CF airbox (refinished, it looks good), rear muffler, chip, sway bar. Euro headlights with fogs, city lights, dipping function. H&R springs, freshened suspension, rebuilt SRS, upper harness 2003 date code. Extensive service and ownership records back to delivery. I'm the fifth owner.

I did the E55 wheels yesterday with Michelin PSS in the standard staggered 245/275 front and rear sizes - the two shots with the stock 16" wheels are fresh off the truck on Wednesday.

So far the needs are - headliner a bit saggy, the two center vent adjustment handles are broken, there's a few cracks in the console wood varnish front and rear, and the driver's door speaker isn't working... Couple of smallish rusty spots, left side of the rear window looks to be delaminating a bit, not surprisingly right below where there's a bit of rust.

I've wanted one of these since they came out...

Congrats Kev,

Welcome to the SoCal group of 124.036 owners. Some day we all have to have a GTG. There are a lot of new faces around here along with us old timers.

Photos look great! Are your Monoblocks 18s or 19s. Maybe it the light but they really pop out.

Terry, they are 18x8 and 18x9 refinished OEM E55 wheels. I live in DTLA - wouldn't mind meeting some other SoCal folks, particularly for the intel on who's best looking after these cars around here. Mine has some stuff I'd like to get sorted!

Realized I never posted my VIN for posterity. Speaking of, there's a For Sale thread from 2009 for my car - I'll put a note there as well.

I purchased the car from a friend of mine in 2016 - he bought it from the 2009 seller.

Bonus pic at the Classic Center grand opening earlier this year - wife's W140 and our friend's 220D.

Her W140 was in the shop and I potholed the left rear on her CL55 literally in the parking lot of her work the night before, so when she had to go LA-Lompoc for a shift (pharmacist) I gave her the 500E, and she gave it a bit of stick on the way up the road...

For those of you with 8 minutes to burn, I shot this from the 500E last week as a preview for a friend of mine in Sydney who's coming to visit in October with his brother from the UK. Gives a flavor of the area we found plus a full tour of the driveway. Isuzu Trooper at the end is my wife teaching her teenage cousins from Istanbul how to drive...

I told Ohio BMV I wanted two copies of my "AMG WHAT" plate but they only sent me one, so until I can get a fake German plate I thought I'd keep it classy instead of just the blank space and a temp sensor...
