An all-day Porsche sports car-only event sponsored by Lakewood Vineyards which included a car show and a scenic Rallye/Tour along the back roads to the sponsor’s winery, Lakewood Vineyards. Participants experienced an informal wine-tasting, tours of the winery, a complimentary bottle of Lakewood wine, culminating with a supper.
I drove the 500E up to view the car show in Watkins Glen’s LaFayette Park. About 50 Porsches from 1948 to the present were gathered. The morning weather started out beautifully, but early afternoon rain was forecast. I hope they were able to enjoy their scheduled car rallye without too much discomfort.
