Re: Owner - M104-AMG

That is awesome. :wootrock:

What wheels/tires do you use for autox?

:3gears:

Re: Owner - M104-AMG

Stock 16x8 wheels, used Nitto Drag Radials 225/50R16.

I won F-stock in the 500E, and SuperStock in the FD (3rd gen. RX7). Someday I'll do H-Stock with the wagon . . .

Re: Owner - M104-AMG

Now this looks fun, how often do you do these events ?

Unfortunately, not anymore with the 500E. When the track-bug bit, it bit hard, so I stepped up to a '93 3rd gen RX7, even rarer than our 036, but the performance level is off-the-charts. esp. modified! Weird that all my performance cars are from 1993!

BTW: I may not hang with a 997 GT3 down the straights (give me a bigger single turbo), but I'll catch you in the corners . . .

skip to 3m35s

That looked a bit loose at 5:20. :e500launch:

Neil was going quite fast in the video, probably much faster than most would expect.

Banked ovals are a bit different for those who have never run on them. We used to race at Pocono and the first time I had to back off the throttle at full tilt on the banking was fascinating! I was leading the race and a back marker did something stupid in front of me. I think I lost at least four places on that move...
