I have for sale a passenger-side (right side) spark plug wire retaining clip, which goes right next to the distributor cap.

This clip is NLA from MB, and is missing on probably 50% of cars out there.

Part number is 119 158 00 73.

$15 postage-paid

Unsure on the full market for these NLA spark plug wire clips - but feels like something that could be a viable 3D printing exercise for those who have the capacity. (don't have the clips nor a 3D printer, so just throwing this out as a general thought).

These clips are an excellent candidate for 3D printing, or even production via molding, although the latter might require large quantities. It's bizarre why the driver side clip is far more likely to be missing, which resulted in (1) that side going NLA a couple years before the passenger side, and (b) half or more M119's in the junkyard are missing the driver side clip per my observations while hunting for them.

Note that for the clip to work, the plastic frame surrounding the cap & cam solenoid must have the prong that the hold the top of the clip. If this prong is broken off, the clip is useless. And the frames are NLA now as well... and the plastic X-tray for the wires...

:runexe:

I bought the frames + covers last year during my top-end rebuild and they were some of the last available. From memory, @Jlaa picked up one of the last X-Tray's or the last one. Lots of these plastic engine parts would be good candidates for the 3D printing / molding adventure.
