Mityvac Coolant Pressure Tester

A little while ago I was having coolant loss but didn't know where it was going. Nothing on my garage floor, no tell tale white residue. I was getting worried about coolant going into the engine. But thanks to GSXR's recommendation, I got a Mityvac MV4529 coolant pressure tester. This has the adapter that fits our cars.

I've never been so relieved to hear liquid coming out of my car! Just a couple of hose clamps needed tightening after getting hoses replaced not too long ago.

I think I would need another adapter to test the cap. It didn't come in the kit I bought. But I just bought a new cap a couple of weeks earlier in an attempt to solve the coolant loss. Caps are cheap enough that, unless I expect to test a lot of caps, I'd be inclined to just get a new cap rather than an adapter to test the cap.
