Model cars

I have 2 AutoArt Evo2 s, one as the official Mercedes Collection Model limited to 500pcs with Evolution badge and running numbers as well as the Berlin 2000 race car. They are really well done and a must have for a enthusiast with an affection to model cars too. Further I can recommend the Mercedes group C cars made by Exoto. These Models are even more detailed and stunning in every aspect. The crown of my small collection belongs to the CMC made W196R and the blue legendary race car transporter. The silver arrow consists of more than 1100 parts alone!

Haven't pulled the trigger yet on the OTTO E60, need to see it first myself...

I have many of the CMC Mercedes as well including the 196R. An incredible model of one of my favorite cars. I stopped collecting them around the time the transporter came out (out of room and money). I could still find room for it and a birdcage Maserati.

I agree it's a costly amendment to the hobby of having real cars. You can buy quite some parts for the real car for the amount of money the miniatures go for... I try to limit myself only to get the ones I have in real or either which I really really like.

Many years ago my brother and I were avid modelers. My brother built all three of the models you posted, complete with Zimmerman (is that the correct term?) putty and various battle damage.

Zimmerit, a textured mineral paste applied over the steel hull to defeat magnetic mines. I'm sure you'd agree its a very relaxing hobby and a portal into history.

So, took some quick photos with the cellphone :

In the race car transporter you can even see the ignition key in the ignition lock and another one on it's key ring

2013 was my year for SLR spotting, both of these in Geneva.
