We should get @gsxr to chime in with the greenish-blue heavy gloves that his Uncle Kent uses.
Whilst I re-use these gloves until they rip then bin them, the amount of work during lockdown on my w220s etc means I have already burned through 4 boxes!! About half way through 5th box now. I thought that was a few years supply but I'd guess I'll be needing more next summer.Pre Covid I used to be able to buy the orange nitrile gloves for about £13 a box of 100 locally. I had 2x boxes and used them up now and no autoparts stores have stock and they do say that when they come back in the same boxes will be £26 each for the foreseeable future. That sucks!! Double the price.
After paying £16 for a box of 50x online due to running out I just bought a full case of 900 for £95.

That brings me back to just under what I used to pay pre Covid and I'll not run out any time soon! This is about a 2 year+ supply for me.
Currently we are at 400 patients in our 900 bed hospital having covid. Scamdemic indeed.Apparently this scam-demic has depleted everyone of nitrile gloves. I can't find the Venom 6 mil gloves anywhere. Does anyone have a good source for work gloves nowadays?
Funny how the price of gloves has doubled over the past year. Boxes of 100 quality gloves used to be around $20.I've used these lately and been pleased with how well they work...
Yeah, I flinched when I saw the price on these. Ouch!Funny how the price of gloves has doubled over the past year. Boxes of 100 quality gloves used to be around $20.

Yeah. Wow:Funny how the price of gloves has doubled over the past year. Boxes of 100 quality gloves used to be around $20.
Fit is good and I have used them for several hours at a time. As long as they don't get snagged on something and torn they last a long time. These are thick gloves. Do you reuse them?
I'm typically working in one to two hour chunks, so I try to get two (or more) uses from a pair.
How's the fit?
Yeah, and sometimes they are in stock too.Funny how the price of gloves has doubled over the past year. Boxes of 100 quality gloves used to be around $20.
If you see a box of Large size, please snag for me and send to me. I will PP you immediately. Our nearest Lowe's is 15 miles away (in Bowie, MD, halfway to Washington DC for me) and I don't get over there with regularity (as opposed to here in Annapolis, where we have TWO Home Depots within a mile of each other.....go figure). These were on the shelf at Lowes in October 2020. Haven't been back since, don't know if still available...
Got it. Those are the black ones with white inside/liner. I'll check next time I'm there, might be a month or so.Basically just rip resistant.
Hello Guest !
We wanted to let you know about a new resource that is now available to all 500Eboard members. This is a comprehensive database of all US-market (and soon to include Canadian-market) 500E and E500 models delivered for the 1992 through 1994 model years.
Data for this resource has been compiled continuously since mid-2003, and much of this information is seeing the light of day for the very first time ever. This new resource will allow you to utilize 500Eboard research and resources to track specific cars, their sale history, documented modifications, and other information that has surfaced over the years.
We are also providing analytics about the cars' production. This means that if you are curious as to how many "Signal Red" cars were produced for the US market with a black interior, specifically in Model Year 1993, you can now easily find this information. You can also find aggregated information -- for example, how many "Black Pearl" cars were imported into the US over the three-year span.
You can always find and enjoy this resource by clicking here (bookmark the site for easy reference!), or by going to the “500Eboard Registry and VIN Database” sub-forum below. You can also find a VIN Database button at the top of your screen, for easy access.
We hope you enjoy this resource. A LOT of blood, sweat and tears over nearly 23 years have gone into its creation.
Cheers,
500Eboard Management
