Parting out 1993 Mercedes 500e

Why part it out due to mileage? If it runs well and the interior is good... get it driving and it would be a cool rat rod / daily driver. It wouldn't be worth fully restoring (based on the pics) but if it's not wrecked, it would be a shame to cannibalize it.

Just curious, how much would you want for the whole car?

600Eric needs the right and left trunk liners. I have a friend near Portland who can pick them up and pay you.

I would be interested in the front brake calipers if they are the Aluminum Brembos as well as the Sportline steering wheel and airbag. If the spare wheel and tire has never been down I would interested.

Thanks,

Jeff

I would keep it and make something unique out of it, but just have way to many projects at this time. kills me to see it sit. I would let it go for 6k.
I will be in the market for a 500E in the near future, will be looking for something thats in better shape and lower miles
@gsxr

Man you REALLY would not part this one out.

What a shame if you do.

What color is it, hard to tell from the photos

I'd be more than happy to sell it as a whole, instead of parting it out. If your interested?
its a dark gray/green color
@KarlC

What is the condition of the wood in the center of the rear seats and also in the front center area with the shifter and window switches?

The car is located a couple miles from me. I can go look at it if someone is interested.

We're all buyers if the price is right. I'm currently redoing the trans and suspension on mine, 212k miles. Keep her intact.

Sbody should save her for this price..
I would certainly buy it if i would be in the US (i am checking the cost of transport to europe)

Definitely save it - someone will offer you the right price for the complete car. 1 million miles is high for an M119.

It would be nice to save it.

Just needs a little tlc. Engines last, but need timing service and oil leaks addressed. Trans and a c might be your only big issues. Some suspension parts if it is 100 % original.

Looks exactly like mine and the color code should be 199

Yes, it's the same car as before - the miles match, identical damage to passenger side of the front grille. The model year appears to be an error, assuming the VIN posted in the previous thread is correct, that would be 1992 not 1993.

VIN = WDBEA36E3NB790914

Good catch, Steve - thanks!

I'm trying to get over to see the car again. The seller is out of town this weekend so maybe next week.

i believe Steve is asking about this Portland, OR car.
Ah, got it. And no, that's not the same car. Different miles, no dents in the sheet metal, different color black (199 vs 040), etc.

I'm 99.44% certain the OP's car is the one from Seattle, linked in post #23 above.

Re: Parting Out '93 E500, Portland OR

isn't this already being picked over on this board?

@KarlC

Interested in some parts myself, has the owner replied to anyone at all?

A search on his posts shows June 2nd as the last one, and the links to CL are dead.
