Rear glass removal & installation tips

Removing the cracked rear glass prior to paint and reinstalling a brand new one once the repaint is completed. Any tips on removal and reinstallation of the glass, seals and surrounding anodized trims? Do the trims get installed onto the glass and are the seals put in place prior to installation? Do the interior trims need to be removed to avoid damage during the process?

If anyone can refer me to a professional who has done this installation on a w124 sedan in the Los Angeles area, it would be much appreciated.

Trim and seals are installed on the glass prior to it being bonded in. Interior C-pillar trims need to come off to disconnect the defrost wires. IMO it’s easier to start cutting the glass out from the inside. Access to the lower edge will be easier if you remove the rear shelf.
Thank you. Onto removing the C pillar trims and rear shelf now.

Rear parcel shelf trim and blind has been removed in preparation for removal of the glass. Wasn’t too bad but requires some fiddling around to get the parcel shelf out.
