Rims

Hello!

Anybody in this group owns a custom wheel shop or has an idea of how much does it cost to diamond cut/machine polish the standard 8 hole rims?

The rims currently have the paint taken off and I've a day to decide whether to take them as-is or lacquered.

A quick reply, even if a rough guesstimate is much appreciated.

@Jlaa has an awesome shop in SF, CA that will do this for something like ~$250 per wheel, but they don't ship, so if you're on the east coast you'll have to check with the place skikrazey mentioned. Not a lot of places will do the machine finish correctly, so ask lots of questions and/or get sample close-up photos before pulling the trigger.

FYI, I got a quote from jlaa’s place in Fremont, CA. They’ll charge $185/wheel to diamond cut my 8-hole wheels. This includes painting the holes.

Heh, WCWR is in Fremont, which is about 2.5 hrs roundtrip from me, 2x, to drop off and pick up. If you do a search, you can find my posting about them.
