WANTED Sportline wheel

Well the 500e airbag is part number a1294600698. If you cross reference that part number to models that use it, the W202 is listed. Its listed as being used for the W202 "Sport Package" So the answer is yet.

If the Sportline wheel in question in the late "triangle" style, then yes, as Rik stated above. Note that early Sportline wheels were 390mm diameter but used the standard/rectangular airbag.

Good point, although I don't really consider that early style wheel a "Sportline" wheel.

Me neither! But I think it technically is, since the diameter is 390mm, while all the standard 124 wheels were at least 400mm. The early 6-cyl Sportlines, along with the early 500E's, all had the "oddball" 390mm wheel with standard airbag. I personally prefer the later style.

The EPC is vague and does not even use the term "Sport" or "Sportline". You see the oddball wheel (a1404604703) listed for the 300e 124.032 for all of 1992, then it lists a1294601303 for 1993 then lists a1294601903 for 1994. This last one also supercedes a1294601303 also. I also see a wood trimmed steering wheel listed as an option.

I have seen plenty of model year 1992 Sportline 300e's and 190e's and none of them had the "oddball" wheel though.

Rik, the EPC is extremely vague on steering wheels for almost all chassis in the early/mid 1990's. I'm not sure why. They list multiple part numbers and have no explanation as to which ones were used on which models. Very annoying.

Drew, you are correct, the early "oddball" wheel is a bit rare! I don't think there were very many produced. I only had one and I sold it to Mark for his uber-coupé.
