Very excited to have received my 94' E500 today and proceeded to take her out on a fairly extensive jaunt through some twisty backroads even with the rain. The immediate impression was the very progressive buildup of power to the rear wheels. No sudden explosion of power to push me into the seats...just a very nice rush that comes on through the entire power band. The car felt small to me in a good way. Very intimate and simple compared to the monstrosities that roam the roads these days.

Mid trip for DMV Emissions testing and got the thumbs up. So next stop to the DOL to get tabs.

More impressions after getting her checked out next week and any niggling issues corrected.

Thanks for all the warm welcome on the purchase thread. Look forward to delving into the E500E community.

Sorry no pics...as it was dark by the time I got home.

Pretty exciting stuff. Try putting the car in 1 gear for a second or two, then back into drive. Oh and before the light turns green, press the anti-skid [snow chain] button on the center console. Push it to the floor and report back to us how soft the seat is then

:watchdrama:

Well after months of getting the car sorted out with all the deferred maintenance caught up...for now. I'm happy to say the "new" E500 in my driveway is ready for the road.

I went for the look of that low low mileage 94' E500 discussed in the purchase thread. Everytime I drive her in takes me back to a simpler time. :)
