There are many many threads on this site dealing with suspension mods/suggestions/outcomes that members have carried out/experienced.
Any decision you make will be determined with what you are personally looking for from the car.
I have recently changed the front and rear shocks (the rear SLS having been deleted by a PO) for Koni Adjustable Sports - set on the least firm setting. For me, this I think achieved a good balance between ride and stability - which was particularly improved at higher speeds.
New stock dampers all around can make a big difference. More than one person has tried to "improve" the suspension and ended up quietly returning back to stock...
Well, I'm intrested, so please ask if they are available. I contaced direct to Mercedes-AMG and they are not allowed to sell to private customers. If you have racing team etc. then it would be another story..
German supplier where I order my spare parts, amg suspension part prices were available and price tag was around 3k€
Last checked sometime in 2016, I believe. There are some forum threads from last year, I think, where people reported being able to still buy the dampers. We'd need someone to check with a dealer, or MB Classic, to confirm inventory levels in Paragon (MB's worldwide inventory system).
There was someone on 500E board offering a used set for sale....
My 500E has E60 suspension. I carried out detailed measurements on the springs etc - that information is contained in my owners thread. It may be possible for you guys to arrange a specialist to make a set to E60 Spec - group buy type deal
Yup, I expect to keep Jono's set up on my car. Even my wife noticed, as a passenger, how solid the car was on semi-aggressive turns during her first trip (Skyline Drive) in the car after Jono's work. And she said it even before I pestered her over and over and over again about how good it was.
Sorry to be daft, but what do you mean "Jono's" set up? Is that one of the Members? Also wondering if by Skyline Drive you are referring to the one between Half Moon Bay and Los Gatos in California? Assume no with your DC address..

Jono is jhodg5ck and he owns Blue Ridge Mercedes in the Atlanta area. I took my car to him for a total suspension refresh. Skyline Drive runs through Shenandoah park which has its northern tip in virginia.

Per the 126 "AMG" hydro legs, the internal valving is a bit more aggressive. I ran the part number I found on the 126 bits through my fiche and found MB offered HD hydro legs back in the day as an option... So AMG is old MB HD....
