Tensioner Pulley Excitement

Today was the day to replace the tensioner pulley since the bearing was getting noisy.

Imagine my surprise to find the retaining nut finger tight! I literally did not need a socket to remove it, except for it being recessed. I don't know who worked on this car before me but WOW. First the three power steering pulley bolts back out and now this. Needless to say, everything is Loctited and torqued. I did the water pump pulley, too. I shudder to think about these pulleys failing during a 2,500-mile trip with plenty of healthy speed like we took last year.
