Unknown cable on m119.982 engine

Got a photo of what the electrical connectors look like? And also the part number on the plastic connector housing?

That is part of the hood release/latch system on the mid-1990s W/V/C140 -- that electrical connector is for the alarm switch (part of the hood latch) that would be tripped when the hood is released when the car's alarm is enabled.

Thanks for your reply so quickly! I have a 96 s420. So are you saying that this plug is not needed? I can't anywhere to plug it in. It comes from behind the passenger side headlight. I guess since my hood latches are mechanical, it is not needed.

I really do appreciate your help with this.
 
If it's part of the alarm system as Gerry mentioned above, and you are not worried about the factory alarm... probably not needed!
