Will a 126 center console rollbox door fit in a 124?

Does anyone know if a rollbox shutter door? From a 126 fit a 124? They look very close in size and shape.

I’ve been hunting for a NOS one for a long time and found a 126 one. Curious if I can make it work with not too much hassle?

It should fit. At worst, try and see. I have rebuilt several 126 boxes in the past so it is rather simple.
