1-8-2011. Dallas, TX. Auction, 143790mi. CAR HAS SALVAGE TITLE. Car at auction as a wreck. Appears to be drivable wreck (moderate rear-end). Wood shift knob, appears to have AMG or knockoff star wheels; tinted windows; AMG badge on right side of trunk; some sort of steering wheel wrap. Overall decent condition except for rear-end? Clear corner lights; under-wiper hogged out panels.
UPDATE
7-30-2012: Received additional information from 500Eboard member "JW in Texas:" Car was originally owned my a VP of MBNA in MD & was serviced at the MBNA Test & Service Center through 3/26/93 @ 7468. Next service was at Continental Motor Cars/Austin - 1/24/94 @ 14,155. The car was bought at some point between those two by William Hold of Austin, TX. I bought the car in 4/00 with 54k on the clock from Bill and kept the car until it was totaled in a rear end collision in Denton, TX by an errant driver in 9/11 with approx. 155k miles on it. Car was repairable with rear bulkhead damage so the trunk wouldn't shut, bowed quarter panels & bumper popped at each end. Other driver's insurance company was wary of the cost to fix the car so it was written off as totaled. From there, I know the car was bought out of auction & ended up in MN. A pic of the car when I had it is attached.
