An internal Mercedes-Benz factory identifier used to track the vehicle through the manufacturing and production sequence.
The numbered entries across the lower portion of the data card are individual Mercedes-Benz factory option codes. These identify equipment and specifications fitted to the vehicle at production.
The 500Eboard Registry records these codes individually for each vehicle, allowing original factory specifications and option combinations to be compared across the 500 E / E500 production population.
Hello Guest!
The new 500Eboard Registry is now live and available to the entire community. It currently contains all 1,528 U.S.-market and 85 Canadian-market 500E and E500 models delivered for the 1992 through 1994 model years.
You can search for individual cars by VIN, FIN or production number; explore production statistics, paint colors, interiors and factory options; view vehicle history and related forum discussions; and browse photographs for hundreds of documented cars.
This information has been compiled and researched continuously since 2003, and much of it is now available through 500Eboard for the first time. You can open the Registry at any time using the red 500E Registry button at the top of the forum—or by clicking below:
We hope you enjoy it. A lot of blood, sweat and tears over more than two decades have gone into building this resource.
Cheers,
