Thermostat: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation





- Drain coolant at radiator, Service and Repair
- Model 129: unscrew dipstick tube from cylinder head.
- Detach coolant hose (1) at thermostat housing.
- Detach coolant thermostat housing cap (2).
Tighten to: 10 Nm.
- Remove coolant thermostat (4).
- Replace O-ring (3).
- Install coolant thermostat.

Installation Note: The ball valve (arrow) must be at the highest point.

- Continue installation in reverse sequence. Observe torque specifications.
- Pour in coolant.
- Check cooling system for leaks. Testing and Inspection
