Documenting for posterity. Another set by frenchfelgen in Japan.

Sold for $5800 plus fees ($6100 total), plus shipping to USA adds up to nearly $7000 delivered.

:wow:

Frenchfelgan sells a lot of AMG wheels and they all appear to be in perfect condition. I guess it goes to show that most of the AMG stuff is in Japan.

I wish BaHaT had some sort of feedback mechanism. Buyers can post something in comments but that's about the only way you'd find out if they were unhappy, as it's not easy to contact a BaT user directly (unless they have an active listing).

:scratchchin:

I once had BaT contact me to forward an email from another user who wanted to reach out to me. I never bid/listed anything but just commented. So it might be worth a shot for any potential buyer who wants to know about others' buying experience with a particular seller. I'm not sure if BaT would filter/ignore particular requests though.

With the aero 3 wheels I would be super worried about cracked centers.

If some bullshit artist fillered the cracks and then painted them, the new owner will be sorely disappointed to eventually find out that his $4-7k just bought him an pile of junk that no one is able to properly repair.

I fully agree! :thumbsup2:

You can get custom 18" rings & barrels made to fit the original 17" OZ centers, but the proportions are just a bit off IMO. A real enlargement of the centers to 18" would be spot on - I would be all over a set of that!
@bb1 is that an option?

:checkeredflag:
Possible, but price would be not cheap for a complete set.. I think centers would be nothing under 900$ a piece.. then you need paint, barrels, screws/nuts etc.. will eat up quick and 2k for one rim easy!

the stepped up look doesnt look so great, i get why they do them though especially if they had a vintage bbs wheel
