NO AFFILIATION.

VIN = WDBEA52E2PB903398

No options besides roller blind and Sportline. Beige Overload Special and not in good shape: piece of walnut wood is MISSING from the rear console... no hood pad... dry rotted P-Zero front tires with Ziex (?) rears... headlight wipers deleted with Depo install... missing tow hook cover... Taiwan Tails... is that green coolant?... rotted NLA throttle cable... hood possibly not original (missing rubber seals that should be there with 70kmi)... aftermarket head unit in a 1432 car... broken rearview mirror... weird paint texture on front fender/door area by Sportline badge... probably more stuff.

Even if bone stock and mint with original paint, Dean himself likely couldn't pull $40k for this car.

Step into the world of classic elegance with the 1993 Mercedes-Benz 300CE Sportline Coupe, a vehicle that perfectly embodies the fusion of luxury and performance. With only 70,335 miles, this car is a rare find in the realm of classic automobiles.
The recent market enthusiasm for models like this is evident, as seen in a similar 300CE Sportline that commanded $42,000 on BringaTrailer.com in December 2022. This trend suggests a potential increase in interest and value for such vehicles, making them intriguing considerations for enthusiasts and collectors.
This particular 300CE has the added advantage of being a Florida car. Renowned for their generally favorable conditions, vehicles from Florida often enjoy a longer lifespan due to the absence of harsh winter weather. This car's journey in such an environment is a noteworthy aspect. Additionally, its appeal is underscored by a clean and clear title and an exemplary CARFAX report, showing no prior accidents and a history of just two original owners since 1993.
Adorned in a refined Champagne exterior with a sumptuous tan leather interior, the car's color scheme radiates sophistication. Thoughtful enhancements by the previous owner, such as Mercedes-Benz AMG monoblock wheels and updated Euro style red and clear tail lights, along with European spec style headlights, imbue the car with a contemporary flair while respecting its classic heritage. The removal of the headlight wipers contributes to a cleaner, more modern aesthetic.
The heart of this classic is its robust 3.2-liter M104 inline-six engine, which delivers a compelling balance of power and smoothness with 217 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. This engine ensures an engaging and enjoyable driving experience.
The inclusion of the original factory headlights and tail lights in the sale provides the flexibility to maintain or revert to the car's original look, catering to those who value the car's original specifications.
This 1993 Mercedes-Benz 300CE Sportline Coupe is more than a car; it is a testament to a bygone era of automotive luxury and engineering prowess. While future values are unpredictable, the current trend towards appreciation of such models makes this car an interesting prospect for both enjoyment and potential value appreciation.
Offering a rare opportunity to indulge in the splendor of Mercedes-Benz heritage, this 300CE Sportline stands as a compelling piece of automotive history, waiting to be cherished and enjoyed by a new owner. Its combination of a storied past and tasteful enhancements make it a standout choice for anyone passionate about classic luxury cars.

Also fishy is that it had 69,000 miles over 25 years ago... hrmmm... then no mileage records until it showed up at auto auction in Nov-2023.

Either the odo is not accurate, or it's been parked for over 2 decades. Neither is a good scenario.

That is his claim in the description.
Ah, you are right - that's an error. Took me a while to find the Canyon reference, in most of the ad text the paint is referred to as "Champagne".

Hilarious that he cherry-picked the $42k example from 5 total BaHaT Sportline coupé sales. The other 4 sales were between $12-$21k with an average of $17.5k. Somewhere around $20k would be reasonable IF it was stock AND the issues noted above were rectified.... AND it didn't have accident damage... AND didn't have repaint issues... AND didn't have a questionable odometer reading.

Hard to tell, but those headlight lenses don’t look like Hella or Bosch. Are they DEPO?

I was always partial to Christopher Walken’s pronunciation of champagne when he was acting out the character of “The Continental” on SNL in the early-mid 90s…. 😁

I’m thinking half of the asking price would be reasonable. Now if it was a more exclusive color maybe with more eyes a higher number. I like how the photographer really worked the light to make a common color have more appeal. Imagine buying sight unseen and having it unloaded by the transport in front of your house. Tears of joy? I think not!

$42k roflcopter… I (stupidly) sold my very nice rust free 300CE for $2500 a decade ago, but it would be a hard ask to sell for more than $10k today. They’re just not that rare. There’s a low mileage, white on green leather MOPF2 car for sale in Sweden now, it’s a 1995 E220 Coupe. Listed for $9.200 ish. Now that’s a rare bird, no AC, trailer hitch, and did I say green!! leather?

Sorry for the hijacking.

Can't say A without saying B right?!?
